“Success doesn’t come from what a dancer does occasionally but what they do consistently.”
My philosophy is to provide my students with a strong foundation of consistent strength training and flexibility in order to ensure the safety and the development of all dancers. I have a passion for helping dancers reach their goals and achieve skills they only dreamed of in an encouraging and safe environment.
Jackie Mougel has an extensive background in dance as well as acrobatics and gymnastics. She is an Acrobatic Arts trained and certified teacher and follows the Acrobatic Arts syllabus, which is endorsed by physiotherapists and professional acrobats including the Cirque Du Soleil Team. She started as a student of Danceology and was a member of the very first DPC team in 2003. From the guidance of Ms. Niki and Ms. Julia, she was able grow her passion for teaching early on as a teenager. While teaching at Danceology, she continued her training with a full scholarship to The Academy of Performing Arts, San Diego in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Tap and Hip-Hop. Jackie graduated from California State San Marcos with a BA in Visual and Performing Arts and worked commercially and locally for many San Diego dance companies but found teaching as her true calling. She loves working with students of all ages and levels and encourages them with her enthusiasm for dance and acrobatics in all her classes.
