Danceology Academy of Classical Ballet (DACB)

Under the Direction of MS. Elena Baltovick, Danceology’s Academy of Classical Ballet is a competitive program for ballet dancers based on the Vaganova syllabus. Perfect for aspiring young dancers seeking in-depth ballet training in order to prepare them for a competitive experience in classical ballet as well as working towards a goal for a professional dance career, or a dance major in one of the top universities in the country. Dancers will have an opportunity to work with the highest caliber of inspiring professional artists in the industry. DACB is a nurturing, consistent, repetitive, and structured environment. Individual student success is our highest priority.

Academy Prep IA & IB (6-8 years old)

Students must be proficient in extensions, flexibility, turn out and coordination. They must be able to take direction, respond to a teacher, and memorize combinations.

Academy Prep IA & IB (6-8 years old)

Students must be proficient in extensions, flexibility, turn out, coordination and jumps. They must have an understanding of basic barre work with correct posture, strong center work and the ability to stretch knees and feet throughout an entire class. They must be able to take direction, respond to a teacher, and memorize combinations.

Academy III (10-12 years old)

Students must be proficient in extensions, flexibility, turn out, coordination and jumps. They must be at an intermediate ballet level with intermediate pointe work and variations. They must have a full understanding of the upper body, take direction, respond to a teacher, and memorize combinations.

Academy IV (13-14 years old)

Students must have a strong work ethic and commitment to ballet at an advanced level with pointe work. Students must have previous YAGP experience.

Academy V (15-16 years old)

Student must be at the pre-professional level with a strong work ethic and commitment to ballet. Academy V dancers will be training for ballet company auditions and preparing for college dance major auditions. Students must have previous YAGP and Ballet Summer Intensive experience.

Prior training experience required: Strong classical ballet training for a minimum of 3 years and strong pointe training for at least 2 hours a week for one year.
DACB Dancers will compete at various Youth America Grand Prix competitions.
